History

March 1997 18 major IATA airlines and 12 major global forwarders have launched CARGO 2000.
November 1997 CARGO2000-JAPAN has been launched in Japan.
July 1999 "Cargo Community System Japan Co., Ltd. (CCS Japan)", a "neutral, fair, and industry-only" freight information system company, based on the investment of 28 major forwarders, airlines and cargo companies in Japan, was established to promote the digital connectivity of the air freight industry. (Head office: Shiba, Minato-ku, Tokyo)
December 1999 Acquired the concession in Japan from the Traxon Group, a global air cargo information and communications network, and started operations as a major member of the Traxon Group.
April 2000 New system by in-house development started.
March 2003 Started trace information service.
April 2003 Launched payment adjustment services for charge collect fee of import consolidation shipment(e-COD) in Narita and Osaka area.
September 2003 Headquarters office relocation (Nishi Shinbashi, Minato-ku, Tokyo)
November 2003 Launched the exclusive leased line with the Hong Kong partner by VPN connection in order to cope with the drastic increase in traffic volume,.
March 2004 Significantly improved functions such as FWB / FHL data storage and response processing to support US AMS
September 2005 Updated Internet service system.
November 2005 In order to cope with the increase in communication using internet connection, newly introduced high-speed connection.
July 2007 Started services such as regular consolidation reservation and history reference.
April 2008 Launched report creation service for IATA-led Message Improvement Program (MIP).
April 2009 Completely updated the core system and started operation.
March 2010 Started operation of business support purpose system such as invoices.
January 2011 Launched European Customs Pre-declaration System compliant service.
September 2012 Hong Kong Line Multiplexing enhances backup functionality.
October 2013 Updated payment adjustment services for charge collect fee of import consolidation shipment (e-COD).
February 2014 Completely updated the core system and started operation.
June 2014 Relocation of headquarters office (current address: Shiba, Minato-ku, Tokyo)
March 2018 Closed e-COD service.
May 2019 Launched new core messaging exchange system.
February 2021 Conducted customer surveys. (The results posted on the official website in June 2021)
March 2021 Developed the IATA Cargo-XML message handling function and started the exchange service simultaneously.
August 27 2021 Internet service failure occurred. The Service has been restored by restarting the system. Investigation of the cause is ongoing.
October 2021 CCSJ Joined the "TradeWaltz Consortium" for improving the digitization and efficiency of trade related jobs and for information exchanges.
December 2022 Have Built external malware protection measures for our Internet services as an enhanced security measures.
February 2023 Relocation of headquarter office (Moved to Akasaka 3-Chome, Minato-ku, Tokyo)
March 2023 Implemented permanent improvement measures for the Internet service failure that occurred in August 2021, and resolved the failure.
